: Good morning, everyone, andwelcome to a special edition of 
 “Squawk Box” 
here on CNBC. I'mBecky Quick and this morning I am in a suburb of Omaha, Nebraska,called La Vista. Joe Kernen is back at CNBC headquarters on the EastCoast.Our special guest this morning is Berkshire Hathaway chairman andCEO, Warren Buffett. We are coming to you this morning from thewarehouse of Oriental Trading. Berkshire bought this catalogue-basedseller of arts and crafts last November.We've been soliciting your questions for Mr. Buffett over the lastseveral days and as always, you didn't disappoint. You have e-mailed,tweeted, Facebooked and shared your thoughts on LinkedIn. Mr.Buffett is ready to answer many, many questions, as many as we canget to. But before we get to that, Joe is going to give us a quickrundown of the morning's top headlines.

: Hey, Beck. I know the sequester ishitting everybody hard, but this is your new set up there with theboxes and the
usually we can splurge a little bit more. This isaffecting everyone, I think.

it is. But this was a purchase. Berkshire never gaveany numbers on this, but it was reported that this was a purchase of about $500 million. It was

Whoa.

What we thought was the company‟s most recent acquisition
when we were planning and trying to figure out where we're going todo the show this time around.
JOE:
Yes.

Of course, he surprised us with another purchase since then,but yes, when we were
when we were planning on this and we wereputting everything together, this was what we thought was his mostrecent acquisition.
JOE:
I was thinking about that sequester. I mean, Buffett could takecare of it himself if he really
