Non-governmental Spending on Food Security

InterAction, the largest alliance of U.S.-based international NGOs, has committed that its members will collectively spend more than $1 billion from October 2012 to September 2015. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and InterAction announced this pledge at an event on the sidelines of the 2012 United Nations General Assembly in New York. Over 30 InterAction members (see reverse side) have joined our $1 billion food security pledge, and we are continuing to recruit additional members.

InterAction member NGOs will spend more than $1 billion in private funds on programs that advance food security, agriculture and nutrition over the next three years.
