Carlyn is anxious to see Granny Girl in her new home at Homestyle Assisted Living Community. Granny Girl and Carlyn maintain their close relationship as Carlyn quickly becomes friends with the other residents at Homestyle. Carlyn, with the help of her mother, teacher, and Homestyle staff, has organized a western day activity with her classmates. She is excited for the activities to begin, not only because of the races, games, and snacks, but so her new, elderly friends can meet her old, young school friends. As she watches the faces of her Homestyle friends while her school classmates compete, she notices that both groups are having a terrific day.

As Carlyn and Granny Girl’s relationship grows, Carlyn is anxious to learn more about the special conditions of the residents. Her accepting and welcoming attitude teaches children of all ages to develop their circle of relationships to include senior adults.

Follow Carlyn’s numerous visits to the community to learn how this multigenerational relationship expands as Carlyn treasures her visits. Likewise, explore ways a child can become involved in the lives of an entire community of elderly.
