Important point to remember during the debate: 1. 1st, 2nd and 3rd speaker must speak at least 8 minutes.

2. 3rd debater SHALL NOT give new point/ argument. 3. P.O.I. CAN ONLY BE ASKED after the 2 MINUTES (WAIT FOR THE BELL OR AFTER THE OPPOSING DEBATERS PRESENT THEIR ARGUMENT). 4. ACCEPT AT LEAST 1 POI. 5. REPLY SPEECH only the 1st or 2nd speaker can give the reply speech. HOW TO PREPARE A REPLY SPEECH? LISTEN TO ALL THE OPPOSING SIDES ARGUMENTS TAKE NOTE ON THE FLAWS AND ERRORS OR WEAKNESSES IN THEIR ARGUMENTS SHOW THIS FLAWS AND ERRORS IN THE REPLY SPEECH AND TRY TO PERUSADE THE LISTENERS WHY YOU SHOULD WIN. How to give P.O.I.: - Listen to their arguments; - Do they have POINT, EXPLANATION AND EXAMPLES? - If they do not have their POINT, ask them What is your point? Its not clear. - If they do not have their EXPLANATION, tell them We dont understand your point. Can you clarify your point. - If they do not have their EXAMPLE , ask them What is your proof?. - If their ARGUMENT is not RELAVANT or RELATED to the topic, then tell them Your point is irrelevant to the motion.
