It is low in saturatedfats which can be detrimental to
health, and high in bre, vitamins
and minerals.
What is a vegan?
Vegans do not eat any animalproducts, for example:

no meat, sh nor other pro-
ducts that come directly fromkilling an animal, such as ani-mal fats and gelatine;
n
no dairy products such ascows’ milk, butter, cheese andyoghurt, nor goats’ milk;
n
no eggs nor foods containingeggs such as Quorn;
n
no honey.Around 300,000 people in theUK are vegan. Millions morehave chosen to cut down onanimal products and wouldwelcome a vegan choice.
