Box 94907, Lincoln, NE 68509 Nebraska Attorney General Attn: Jon Bruning 2115 State Capitol, Lincoln, NE 68509 Re: Request Pursuant to Nebraska Public Records Law Ms. Schmidt and Mr. Bruning: Pursuant to Neb Rev Stat 84-712 and its subparts the undersigned hereby requests access and copies to the following in regards to any and all discussion of the TransCanada pipeline and the meeting/educational training opportunity that took place in April, or at any other date, with Nebraska State Patrol (NSP), Nebraska Attorney Generals office, TransCanada and local sheriff departments: 1. Any correspondence sent to the NSP by any person or entity or sent by the NSP to any person or entity related in any way to: Setting up the meeting or educational training opportunity Topics to be discussed at the meeting or educational training opportunity Mention of Bold Nebraska, Jane Kleeb, NEAT, Farmers Union, Sierra Club, protestors or other groups involved in opposition to the pipeline Goals of the meeting or educational training opportunity Future Plans or initiatives or follow-up as a result of the meeting or educational training opportunity 2. Any correspondence sent to the Attorney Generals office by any person or entity or sent by the Attorney Generals office to any person or entity related in any way to: Setting up the meeting or educational training opportunity

Topics to be discussed at the meeting or educational training opportunity Mention of Bold Nebraska, Jane Kleeb, NEAT, Farmers Union, Sierra Club, protestors or other groups involved in opposition to the pipeline Goals of the meeting or educational training opportunity Future Plans or initiatives or follow-up as a result of the meeting or educational training opportunity

3. Any notes or memorandum written or recorded of discussions at the meeting or educational training opportunity, next steps, etc. 4. Any handouts, printouts, material whether electronic or in hardcopy form supplied to the NSP by TransCanada or any person or entity working with or on behalf of TransCanada. 5. Any correspondence to or from the Attorney Generals office. 6. List of all attendees of the meeting or educational training opportunity. 7. Any correspondence referring to Bold Nebraska, Jane Kleeb, NEAT, Farmers Union, Sierra Club, protestors or other groups involved in opposition to the pipeline. If any of the above responsive documents, memos, notes, emails, letters, faxes, etc. are stored electronically or consist of electronic files or data in any electronic format, please provide those items on a CD or DVD in their native formats. We agree to pay reasonable fees for the processing of this request. However, please notify me in writing prior to you incurring any expenses in excess of $200. If our request is denied, in whole or in part, we ask that you justify any denials by reference to special exemptions in the statute. We will expect you to release all segregable portions of otherwise exempt material and produce those to us at this time.
