Introduction
fins have been used to augment heat transfer by addingadditional surface area and encouraging mixing
.
When an array of fins is used to enhance heat transfer undermixed convection conditions, the optimum geometry of fins(corresponding to a maximum rate of heat transfer).
The high packaging density and high heat flux in electronicsindustry has changed the process of cooling.
Denser packing has increased temperature differential whichleads to significant impact of natural convection caused bybuoyancy forces.
