May 23, 2012Dear CharlotteI have put a date on this letter to make myself write this letter. It is probably thehardest letter I have written in 20 years. Like you I do not have the energy to fightanymore. I have little energy to do anything it seems. I would almost say “What adifference a year makes!". I suppose it is the work of high blood sugar and brainnumbing ills.. The doctors do not seem able to get either problem right. ParagraphBut life goes forward and we need resolution. My kids were very irritated at your  proposal which seems to leave me with all of the problems. Reality base tells methat it has been my problem for the last 11 years and nothing has changed exceptmy health and ability to deal.I must outline where I come from as you did in your letter. Your proposal seems toexpect me to liquidate everything buy you out, at top dollar with no risk to you.We cannot move the real estate to Alabama so I guess it is mine to deal with. Imust have a reasonable expectation of coming out with adequate funds for me tolive in the future. I spent all my reserves (an office building in Lithonia, amortgage on a house in Avondale {not Dartmouth}, and a lot of energy over thelast 10 years.But enough. I oh the estate $80,000 which represents everything mother and daddy put into Dartmouth over the years. I have maintained it and paid its taxes from the beginning and for years you have known I claimed it as mine. Bottom line: inwriting this letter it is based on the premise that this is all that is owed to the estateregardless of title.Title to both the condo and Dartmouth are vested in the Stroud family trust.
