Sen. Moran Opposes CommonCore Curriculum
Update on Common Core
I received this letter (below) from Senator Morandefinitively opposing the nationalization of curriculum
through Common Core. I applaud Senator Moran’s
decision to join Senator Roberts in his opposition to thispower grab by the feds to control the education of our children.
Now my question: Where is Governor Brownback onthis issue? I would love to add his name to the growinglist of elected officials opposing Common Core. So,please call Governor Brownback (785-296-3232) and askwhere he stands on this issue, which will directly impactevery school in Kansas, especially our public schools.
Another note: At the State Board of Education meetingTuesday, May 14th, there were 17 individuals who madecomments opposing the implementation of Common Corein our Kansas schools. That is a very impressive turnoutand I want to thank Kristin George and all of the folks whoare helping to educate conservatives across Kansas tostand and fight for our children. Great job Kristin! Here isher contact information: Kansans Against Common Coreand we are on Twitter at KansansAgainstCC.
Please continue to hold our elected officials in your prayers.
Respectfully yours,
Charlotte O’Hara
