JOB DESCRIPTION

Army rowing node located in Pune, India, seeks rowing coach. Interested coaches should

1. BROAD TERMS AND CONDITIONS

(a) Experience:
(i) Should have participated at least at the National/continental level
(ii) Should have trained Junior/ Senior National teams
(iii) Should have a medal winning track record.
(iv) Physically fit to demonstrate technique.

(b) Fees: $5000 USD per month. Taxable in India. $3500 USD after Tax

(c) Additional Benefits:

(i) Insurance cover up to Rs 300,000.00(US $ 6000)per year for the coach
(ii) Medical Insurance up to Rs 200,000.00(US$4000) for the coach, wife and one
child.
(iii) To and fro air fare for coach the wife and one child while joining.
(iv) US $200 per month for accommodation
(v) Transport for official duties will be made available
(vi) In case contract extends beyond one year for more than six months, the coach
along with family will be allowed to avail 30 days leave with full pay and to and fro
air fare to home country.

2. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Presently the oarsmen of the Army Rowing Node have been winning medals at the Asian
level while representing the Indian team. But these performances are well below the world
standards. This Node was created with the ultimate aim of winning medals at the Olympics.
Keeping this in mind the following are the goals:
(a) Dominate the sport at the Asian Level.
(b) Win medals at the World Championships
(c) Final aim of winning a medal at the Olympics

3. HE WILL BE REPORTING TO OFFICER INCHARGE OF THE ARMY

ROWINGNODE
However, the coach will have a free hand in conducting the training.
He will be able to get assistance of the local coaches.
