Section IStudent teaching is, by far, the most valuable experience that a pre-service teacher  participates in for numerous reasons. Not only does this time in the classroom provide a pre-service teacher with experience preparing lessons and units, but it also provides time to interactwith students and other teachers, as well as introduces them to future places of employment. Mystudent teaching experience was no different because it allowed me the unforgettable opportunityto interact with wonderful students and a great staff, while providing me with more experiencethan I could have ever imagined. I was privileged enough to complete my student teaching at _______High School in ________, Missouri under the primary supervision of ________ and thesecondary supervision of Mr. ________. I feel that I learned a sufficient amount of informationfrom these two teachers which has prepared me to become a full-time teacher.Initially, I was very nervous about starting my student teaching because I, like most, didnot know what to expect. I knew that I would be gaining experience, information, and materialwhile in the classroom, but I did not know if the students would grasp the information that Itaught them or if they would even take me seriously since I am so close to them in age. Myanxieties were eliminated when I met Fatima’s friendly and supportive staff and students. Iquickly realized that my experience at Fatima would teach me more than anything that myclasses in college did because the experience in front of a class is more effective than lectures.Although ---------High School was not my initial choice for student teaching, I amgrateful that I was placed there. It is a unique school district because there are nearly ten smallarea communities that come together to form this one district. The differences between thesecommunities are small, but it is interesting to see how students group together with others fromtheir hometown, as well as neighboring communities when in school.
