Description

A power-hungry chicken with a messianic complex attempts to take over the world's leading religious communities by creating an army of genetically modified chickens and passing himself off as the second coming of the Christian messiah, Huevos Christos.
The Halleluiah Chicken! Is a wacky, whimsical and lascivious adult fairy tale of two brothers, not unlike Romulus and Remus. These two brothers however are conjoined twins named Arnold and Adolph. They were each fathered by a different man and then separated at birth. One twin dies during the operation with the exception of a single organ --his penis. His spirit however takes refuge in the fowl body of an Easter peep that eventually grows to believe he is the second coming of the Christian messiah.
The other twin, Arnold, becomes a plumber. He is a hapless married man with a wife, four kids and two penes--his and his deceased brother’s. Arnold eventually falls in lust, from afar, with a country and western singer. He abandons his home and family to pursue the woman he desires.
In the course of his travels, Arnold acquires a mobile snake show. The previous owner intends to retire from show biz. Arnold also needs to make money and remain mobile in order to pursue his love interest, Crystal, who is singing her way cross-country on a tour of the southwest. The mobile snake show is towed by a ratty pickup truck with a rusted camper in the bed. The mobile serpentarium is also a draw for other men and women with curious persuasions on life, especially two teenage ophites who are willing to pay for the pleasure of ophiting.
In his desperate search for food to feed the snakes, Arnold meets Tommy Hawk, an Indian chicken rancher, who offers to sell him a big philandering rooster that has been abusing his hens. Arnold buys the chicken’s freedom with the intent of feeding him to the snakes, but the snakes have found their own source of food and they are frightened by the enormous chicken.
It is in this way the two brothers -- one a man and the other a chicken -- are reunited in a west Texas town after 40 years of separation. The Chicken suspects he is the brother of the man, but the man knows nothing about the chicken’s metamorphosis and his date with destiny.
During a performance and in front of a live audience, Crystal is kidnapped by the Indian, Tommy Hawk, the chicken wrangler. Arnold is successful in rescuing and boinking her. She learns of his dual penes and his faithful serpents and swears unwavering love and allegiance to him. Arnold and Crystal decide to combine their two shows and move on to greater heights.
Arnold is fatally bitten by one of his poisonous serpents. In anger and exasperation, he tries biting the head off of the serpent. As soon as he swallows some of the snake’s blood, he is privy to the language of birds, including chickens. He hears strange clucking voices and Adolph flies out of the trailer and saves Arnold’s life by dropping a calcifying blob of poison-drawing chicken shit on his wound. Adolph confides in Arnold and reveals his plans to take over the world’s religious communities, but Arnold declines the chicken’s offer to join and assist him in the endeavor.
After the chicken reveals his remarkable ability to sing, Arnold suggests to Crystal that she introduces the snakes and chicken into the show. While she is performing in the Houston Astrodome, Adolph who is now known as ‘The Halleluiah Chicken’ becomes a singing star because of his incredible ‘cockadoodling’, and the money starts pouring in.
Meanwhile Arnold is still trying to find food for his snakes, but they have been finding various food sources on their own for lo these many weeks. Two cops -- investigating rumors that ‘young women visiting the snake trailer have vanished’ -- also turn up missing. Arnold is at a loss to understand what is happening, but is momentarily distracted by Madeline, a TIME reporter, recently awakened from the dead because she heard the remarkable singin
