 Teacher prepares a presentation about the topic. Teacher prepares and photocopies the notes about the topic for the pupils. Teacher prepares the pupils’ homework and is photocopied.
Introduction (10 minutes)
On the carpet area, teacher introduces Ms Word and explains its general function. i.e. word processing. Teacher will point outthat every computer and notebook may have Ms Word in them. Also, will inform the pupils that their parents would use Ms Wordsfor their work or heir older siblings might have used Ms Word for their schoolwork.
Main Activities (15 minutes)Presentation (10mins)
IWB switched on and teacher gives a presentation about Ms Word. Teacher will explain generally the function of toolbar, scrollbarand the exit button. But first of all teacher will show how to start Ms Word by using icon or from the Start buton. If presentationgoes wrong, teacher will open up a website that contains a tutorial on Introduction to Ms Word.
Pupils working independently (5mins)
After presentation, pupils will group themselves in 2 or 3 and go to their computer. They will start Ms Words and identify thefeatures shown in the presentation earlier. Once familiarising themselves with the Ms Word screen, pupils are instructed togather at the carpet area.
Extended Activity
Once pupils have started the MS Word, they are allowed to try and type their names on the document opened.
Closure (5 minutes)
Once their work saved, pupils are instructed to gather at the carpet area. Teacher will prompt the pupils whether they liked MsWord or not. Was it easy to start and did they manage to find the features that were stated earlier. Teacher will further inform the
