Preparation

Teacher prepares a paragraph for the pupils to edit.

Document to be edited and setup presaved in the Desktop


Teacher prepares a handout for the pupils to refer to.

Teacher makes sure that the Ms Word in each pc to be used is working.

Introduction (10 minutes)

On the carpet area, on the IWB, teacher shows a document with no margin set up and overflowing text. Teacher prompts pupils

on what can be done to rectify what they see. After pupils give their responses, teacher introduces the Page Setup dialog box

namely page orientation, page margin and page size. Teacher then inform students of the work they will be given, where to find

the document they are to edit. Teacher again remind pupils about capitalization, spacing and full stops in sentences. Pupils form

groups and teacher gives each group a checklist they are to follow.

Main Activities (15 minutes)

Pupils working independently in groups (based on checklist given)

(1) Pupils open up the document given in their checklist.

(2) Pupils set the orientation of their page.


(3) Pupils set their page margins.
(4) Pupils specify their paper size.

(5) Pupils edit the punctuation errors in the paragraph given (Capitalization, spacing and full stop)

Closure (5 minutes)

Teacher informs pupils to save their work. The checklist given will not be kept by the pupils but will be given back to the teacher

with the names of pupils in each group and computer number. Teacher will walk around the lab to make sure pupils have saved

their work and the checklists have been filled up by the pupils. Teacher then asks the pupils again what they have learned

during their lesson.
