The Set-upUnit
Goals:
Pupils will be introduced to a live webcam to widen their experience of videoconferencing. They are also able to develop their ICT skill, writing skill, readingskill as well as communication skill.
Learning Objectives:
1.To apply their previous knowledge and apply it to the newlearning. For example: identify name of computerhardwares (keyboard, monitor, etc) and take the picturesby digital camera (new knowledge).
2.To solve problem according to instructions given by teachers (createinternet connection) in group work. (collaboratively)3.To develop their communication skills in group discussion, contributeideas and comments to peers and make a final decision (decision-making).
Materials:
Digital Cameras, RJ45, RJ11, usb-cables, modems and splitters

The Hook:
Teacher shows a cartoon video where the characters use mobile phones to capture images. Teacher will explain at the end of the video thatimages and video can also be taken by using mobile phone which has a build incamera. It can be sent to other peoples anytime and anywhere.
Exploration:
•
Explain that captured pictures and videos can be shared either throughinternet use or with removable storage (pendrive, memory card, etc)

Understand how computers are connected with internet
•
Practise:
Student will need to be asked to do two exercises. There will befour groups altogether. Two groups will be doing the first activity andanother two groups will be doing second activity. Teacher needs to do this because there is only 2 cameras available for them to share.
Summary:
Transfer and synthesize current knowledge to a new learning of technologies. On previous lesson, they had learnt name and functions of computers hardwares such as keyboard and monitor. Today, they need tocapture specific hardwares using digital camera. They need to discussamong group members of which can be found inside the computer. Whileon second activity, they need to connect given material with labelled cableaccording to the instructions. Their reading skills are tested to see if theycould do it accordingly.
The Closure
(5 minutes)Another 5 minutes isreserve for morninggreetings, reciting ‘Doa’and any other delaying.
Application:
Student will learn on how to transfer the captured images intocomputer. Teacher will assist them on this procedure.
Assessment:
Students will be assessed on how they are able to explore and usegiven instruction and work collaboratively. They should be able to discuss thefunctions of available tools and apply their knowledge.
