Helping Central New York Businesses
A Commitment to Creating Jobs and Growing Our Economy Representative Dan Maffei
Since taking office in January I have travelled throughout the district meeting with Central New York’s
business owners to discuss ways we can work together to expand businesses in our community and spur ourlocal economy. Shortly after becoming Central N
ew York’s new representative, I kicked off a district
-widelistening tour focused on job creation and economic growth.I hosted round table discussions with business owners in all four counties in the 24
th
CongressionalDistrict. At each roundtable discussion, I listened to local small business owners and economic developmentleaders share their ideas on what they think should be done in order for businesses in Central New York togrow, expand, and create more jobs. The meetings also provided an opportunity for business owners to cometogether and collaborate on ways they can partner to grow their small businesses.Central New Yorkers representing a wide range of sectors and professions attended and participated in thelistening tour. In total, I heard
from over 150 of the region’s small business owners and economic
development leaders. But, I want to hear from even more
Central New York’s businesses
and get their inputand feedback.
It’s important to me that I hear from you, and working with economic development leadershere in the area, I’ve drafted a survey that provides an opportunity for me to learn about the challenges facing
businesses throughout the district and will help me better understand the everyday issues facing Central New  York business owners. Based on your important feedback, we can work together to help find importantlegislative and policy solutions to the challenges facing Central New
 York’s businesses.
Again, thank you for participating in this important survey. I looking forward to learning more about yourbusiness and partnering together to find ways to help grow and expand the important work you do in ourcommunity.Sincerely,
M
