A broke Muslim woman, rejected by her family for pursuing her musical career, hasto decide whether to risk her chances of getting a permanent job at a Nursing homeor to help one of the patient in a precarious predicament.
 Yuri, a permanent tenant at Eden Nursing Home is rebelling against the humiliatingtreatment by the nurses. His last bit of dignity seems lost, when he meets Fereshde,a Muslim volunteer, who finds him in an embarrassing situation.Fereshde, a broke musician, herself is rebelling against the conservative constraintsput on her by her family. She wants to do the right humane thing, what Yuri needshowever, conflicts with her duties as a Muslim.

Assal Ghawami is a New York based filmmaker andhuman rights activist born in Iran. She grew up inGermany, where she studied musical performance atFolkwang School of Performing Arts.Driven to learn journalism and use film as a tool toaddress issues concerning immigrants, who face socialinjustice, Assal worked for WDR News Channel andARD in Germany. She completed her BA in Media andCultural Studies at the New School University in New York and studied directing and Portuguese as a DAADscholarship recipientFor her debut film "Sturm" Assal received several nominations and awards for bestdirecting including at VGIK International Festival Moscow. Other films are currentlycirculating in film festivals internationally including Mexico International Film Festivalwhere her film Ey Pari Kojai won a Bronze Palme. Assal is currently developing her first feature film and is a Tisch School of the Arts Scholarship and Peter D. GouldGrant recipient.
