Todo es cultura.
Podemos interpretar el concepto de forma más o menos restringida, pero la
cultura, como indica la raíz de la palabra, es todo lo que “cultiva” el ser
humano. La cultura es lo que nos mueve y lo que nos ha movido durante los
últimos doce meses en los que nos hemos dado cita a través de estemagazine.
Porque, con la presente edición,ESTARcumple un año. Hemos tratado en
este tiempo de ofrecer a todos nuestros lectores, que son también nuestros
clientes, las propuestas artísticas más interesantes, desde las más clásicas hasta
las más vanguardistas. Y en esta ocasión nos sumergimos en las
manifestaciones culturales de la forma más amplia que ustedes puedan
imaginar. Ya lo dice la bióloga molecular Margarita Salas en la entrevista que
publicamos: “La ciencia también es cultura”. Por supuesto que lo es. Como
también lo es, en ciertas manifestaciones, la moda, cuya relación con el arte
exploramos de forma amplia y profunda. Y, para hablar de otra manifestación cultural, tan consustancial a la
naturaleza humana y a su perpetuo afán de expresarse y comunicarse, hemos invitado a dosanimales de la
escena, José María Pou y Blanca Portillo, para que compartan con nosotros su visión del teatro.
Para culminar este viaje, nos desplazamos a Valencia y a uno de sus principales símbolos de modernidad: la
Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias. Arquitectura de vanguardia y tradiciones centenarias se dan cita en una
ciudad luminosa y llena de vida. En definitiva, les proponemos en estas páginas el viaje más completo y lleno
de matices por los recorridos artísticos que estarán en boga durante los próximos meses.

Everything is culture.We can interpret the concept in a more or less restricted form, but culture as
the name indicates, is everything that the human beingcultivates. Culture is what moves us and what has
moved us over the past twelve months that have brought us together by means of this magazine. Because,
with this edition,ESTARcelebrates its first birthday. We have tried in all this time to offer our readers, who
are also our clients, the most interesting propositions; the most classical and the most avant garde. And on
this occasion we have immersed ourselves in cultural manifestations in the widest sense one could imagine.
Margarita Salas, the molecular biologist, already has said so in the interview we have published: “Science is
also culture”. Of course it is. As is also, in a different way, fashion and its relationship with art that we explore
in breadth and depth. And to talk about another cultural manifestation, so akin to human nature and the
perpetual desire to express oneself and comunícate, we have invited two creatures of the theatre, José María
Pou and Blanca Portillo, to share with us their vision of the theatrical scenario.
And to round up this immersion, we move to Valencia and to one of its most important symbols of
modernity: The City of the Arts and Sciences. Avant garde architecture and century-old traditions meet
together in a city full of light and life. In short, we propose from these pages the most fulfilling and detailed
trip through the artistic tours that are going to be the talk of the town for the next few months.
