opular actors and otherTelugu film personalitiesmade a beeline to polling booths here to cast theirvotes for the first phase of Par-liamentary and Assembly elec-tions on Thursday.Leading the list was superstarChiranjeevi, who is making hisdebut in state politics. Accom-panied by wife Surekha, sonand actor Ram Charan Teja anddaughter Sushmita, the founderand president of Praja RajyamParty (PRP) cast his vote.“People want a change and Iam sure they will support PrajaRajyam,” Chiranjeevi told re-porters outside the polling booth.His children were excited toparticipate in the poll process.“This is a special feeling as we are casting our votes for aparty founded by our father,”said Teja. Young actor Allu Arjun, theson of PRP general secretary and Chiranjeevi’s brother-in-law Allu Aravind, also cast hisvote. “Vote, vote, vote” was theslogan written on his T-shirt.N. Balakrishna, a popular ac-tor and leading campaigner forthe Telugu Desam Party (TDP),also exercised his franchise in apolling booth in upmarket Jubi-lee Hills.Balakrishna, son of TDPfounder N.T.
