COLLEGIATE SUMMER BASEBALL PLAYER DEVELOPMENT 2Initials:__________________ self-evaluation entries (PGSE), both of which will be tied together within the mental preparation process. Pre-game practice (PGP) and video analysis (VA) activities will be tracked separately,utilizing a Microsoft Excel 2013 Spreadsheet to track the level of participation in these activities.Participation in strength and conditioning (S&C) activities will be tracked utilizing thesame Microsoft Excel 2013 Spreadsheet and methods utilized to track player development (PD)activities.
Any and all risks to participants of this study are inherent to those which are typically associatedwith normal, everyday, baseball activity. Throwing, catching, running, hitting for average, andhitting for power are considered to be the five tools associated with baseball performance.Baseball Athletic Testing System (BATS), sport-specific player development (PD), and strengthand conditioning (S&C) activities designed to be utilized in this study present no additional risk than typical participation in Puget Sound Collegiate League (PSCL) activities do. Each participant will complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) Form, PSCLWaiver, and Research Consent Form prior to participating in any research activity.

A positive relationship between summer collegiate baseball participations, player development activities, strength and conditioning activities, and improved player performance,
A better understanding of appropriate programming for collegiate summer baseball player development and strength and conditioning activities, and/or
A quality collegiate summer baseball experience for participants that results in improved performance.
The electronic file containing all Baseball Athletic Testing System (BATS) data, sport-specific player development (PD), and sport-specific strength and conditioning (S&C) will bestored on an 8GB Gigaware Flash Drive.As is inherent to the sport of baseball, player game performance is recorded for analysis.I-Score Software is used to record player game performance in the Puget Sound CollegiateLeague (PSCL), and shared upon request with college baseball coaches and professional baseballscouts. BATS data may also be shared with college baseball coaches and/or professional baseball scouts upon request. Therefore, PSCL League Administrators, PSCL Coaches, andPSCL Players will have access to a centralized hard copy of the BATS results. This centralizedhard copy of the BATS results will simply list raw data and will be kept in the game operationstent for the league; further distribution (i.e. copies, file shares via email, etc.) of the BATS results
