Principles of Divine Healing

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken,
smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the
chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
—-Isaiah 53:4-5

When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he
cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our
infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
—-Matthew 8:16-17

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should
live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
—-1 Peter 2:24

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
—-Psalm 107:20

Healing in the Name

Under the New Convenant (New Testament), God reveals Himself through Jesus Christ. In the
Old Testament God revealed Himself by declaring who He is. He gave a name to one of his
characteristics and attached that name to Himself. Yahweh (or Jehovah), YHWH is the covenant
name of God.

ƒ Jehovah-Elohim: “The Lord Our God” (Genesis 2:4; Judges 5:3) He is God
and God alone; just trust in Him for your healing.

ƒ Jehovah-Jireh: “The Lord will Provide” (Genesis 22:14) He will provide

everything you need for your healing.

ƒ Jehovah-Rophe: “The Lord Who Heals” (Exodus 15:22-26)

ƒ Jehovah-Nissi: “The Lord is My Banner” (Exodus 17:15) You will have

victory over your sickness.

ƒ Jehovah-M’Kaddesh: “The Lord who Sanctifies” (Leviticus 20:8) Set apart

for holiness so He can get the glory over sickness.

ƒ Jehovah-Shalom: “The Lord Our Peace” (Judges 6:24) You will have peace
that you are healed despite any symptoms or any doctor’s report.

ƒ Jehovah-Rohi: “The Lord Our Shepherd” (Psalm 23) He will guide you
during your healing process.

ƒ Jehovah-Tsidkenu: “The Lord Our Righteousness” (Jeremiah 23:5-6)

Maintain your righteousness during your healing process.

ƒ Jehovah-Shammah: “The Lord is There” (Ezekiel 48:23) You are not alone;
God is there for you during your healing.
