Preparation
Teacher prepares a passage for the pupils to edit.Document to be edited saved earlier on in the pupils’ activity folder on the Desktop. Teacher prepares a handout for the pupils to refer to. Teacher makes sure that the Ms Word in each pc to be used is working.
Introduction (5 minutes)
On the carpet area, on the IWB, teacher show a passage to the pupils and inform the pupils they are to edit the given passage. Teacher then show the edited version of the passage and briefly tells pupils which editing commands to use. Teacher theninstruct the pupils to go in groups to their respective computers.
Main Activities (20 minutes)Pupils working independently in groups
(1)
Pupils open up the filename which was given.
(2)
Pupils edit the passage given in accordance to the result shown in the IWB.
(3)
Pupils to save and close the amended file.
Closure (5 minutes)
Teacher informs pupils to save their work. Back on the carpet area, teacher review back what the pupils have learnt so far inword processing. Teacher then inform pupils of mistakes that most have done and that they will be assessed upon their savedwork.
