This court subsequently dismissed with prejudice the claims
against Officers Thornberry, McCulley, McCarver, and McElyea.
Plaintiffs then filed an amended complaint, again asserting claims against theCities of Sheffield and Huntsville, two Huntsville police officers (Sergeant JasonRamsey and Officer Terry Lucas), and a person not previously named, MadisonCounty Deputy Sheriff Eddie McDaniel. This court subsequently dismissed without
prejudice the claims against the City of Sheffield, pursuant to the parties’ jointstipulation of dismissal. This court also granted the motion to dismiss filed by
Madison County Deputy Sheriff Eddie McDaniel, and dismissed with prejudice thestate-law claims asserted against him for lack of subject matter jurisdiction, andwithout prejudice the federal claims asserted against him for failure to comply withfederal pleading standards.

dismissal, and the claims against Officers McCulley, McCarver, and McElyea were dismissed pursuant to the parties’ joint stipulation of dismissal.
