Leprosy reactions
1 atau 2 pasien dalam 10 dapat mengembangkan reaksi lerosi Reaksi bukan merupakan efek samping dari MDT. Reaksi adalah respon tubuh terhadap kusta Lebih sering terlihat dalam kasus MB (lebih dari 5 lesi) Tanda dan gejala : a. Kulit: patch / s menjadi kemerahan dan / atau bengkak, nodul kemerahan kadang-kadang menyakitkan muncul b. Saraf:? Nyeri pada saraf dan / atau gabungan, hilangnya sensasi dan kelemahan otot (biasanya dari tangan, kaki dan sekitar mata) c. Umum: demam, malaise, pembengkakan tangan / kaki

MDT side-effects
Red coloured urine Darkening of skin
This is due to rifampicin. Lasts only for few hours Reassure the patient that this is harmless
This is due to clofazimine. Reassure the patient that this will disappear after treatment is completed This is due to allergy to one of the drugs (commonly to dapsone). Stop all medicines and refer to hospital
