Our Mosholu Day Camp will return to our newfantastic country site at Harriman State Park (BearMountain) on beautiful Lake Cohasset.
Huge lake, floating dock system, 2 ft., 3ft., 4ft.,and deep water instruction and fun swim twicea day, boating, canoeing, and kayaking! 
Our exclusive site has wonderul acilities. Thecrib dock system on the lake allows us to teach allchildren how to swim no matter their level. We havemany buildings on the site. Each group has theirown bunk cabins. A large recreation building oersdance, Native American culture and learning. OurStone Community House oers music and dancing.Campers eat lunch (which they bring) in the largeopen air pavilion. There is also a nature center. A largesports ield is used or baseball, soccer, hockey andield games. A itness course, biking, playground andarchery are also available.Frosh & Norwood: ent. Dear Members & Friends, We are Expanding with Pride and reaching out tobetter serve all of our neighbors. The Center has received a major federal grant to expand our Head Start Early ChildhoodEducation Program. This summer we will open nine additional classes at our Main Building for 3 and 4 year old children andtwo additional classes at our Northside Annex across the street. Also, thanks to a major capital New York State granfrom Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz, and support fromCommunity Board 8 Member Andrew Cohen, we have enteredinto a long term lease and renovation with the Van Cortlandt  Jewish Center at 3880 Sedgwick Avenue. Our new Van Cort-landt Child Development Center will house three Head Start classrooms for 3 and 4 year olds.Head Start is free for income eligible families. The VanCortlandt site will also house three full day Universal Pre-K classrooms for 4 year olds, free from 8:30am - 2:30pm, andtwo private pay child care classrooms for 2 and 3 year olds from7:30am - 6:30pm.Mosholu Day Camp on Lake Cohasset in HarrimanState Park (Bear Mountain) is entering its second year after a fantastic first summer. We have also received a major capital grant from Assemblyman Dinowitz as we continue to expandour floating dock and floor crib system at the camp. Other grants, as well, will help us expand our fitness course at camp.
GRAND OPENING! YOUTH BOYS & GIRLS CLUB HOUSEIN PARKCHESTER!
At the beginning of August, thanks to complete fund-ing by the Condominium Boards of Parkchester North andSouth, we are opening a brand new Boys & Girls Club Programat 2051 St. Raymond Avenue on the lower level in Parkchester. The club will serve Parkchester youth from 13- 19 years oldfrom the Parkchester condominium community. During the6-week summer session it will run school help, sports, arts,cooking, and dance. Fitness rooms, computers, a full gameroom, and more is included from 1:00pm - 5:00pm and 6:00pm- 10:00pm, weekdays. In the fall, our regular schedule will beMonday - Friday from 3:00pm - 9:00pm and Saturday from12:00pm - 8:00pm.I am very pleased that we are able to continue to keepproviding you with ever expanding and quality programs.Sincerely,Don Bluestone, Executive Director
