The Bay Area Learning Net-work is one of the
(http://cccbsi.edulounge.net/) createdto support professional learn-ing in the 110 California com-munity colleges. In 2009 building on its previous suc-cesses, the
(http://www.cccbsi.org)now plans tointegrate what has already been accomplished with anew pilot, growing into a self-sustaining, statewide, profes-sional learning Network in-tended to promote overallsystemic change. This willallow faculty, staff, and ad-ministrators to share and buildupon existing knowledge while at the same time creating opportunitiesfor transformation. Foundational to this Network are evidence-basedknowledge building, inquiry, capacity building, direct training, andresource development. To build the pilot Network, coordinators have been assigned to four specific locations (Bay Area, Los Angeles, Sac-ramento/Central Valley, and San Diego). These coordinators will fa-cilitate efforts in the local regions, while at the same time providingconnections with the greater statewide network.The following community colleges are already involved in the inaugu-ral Network
