Ed Patrykus is a long time El Pasoan. His intimate memoir deals with old age on the contemporary Texas-Mexico border, and it is a literary gem. Patrykus has been writing for decades about his life, including on the border, and much of his work is lovingly handwritten and self published in very limited editions. Originally from rural Wisconsin, Patrykus, now 80, has lived in El Paso since the 1960s. He currently resides in the city's Sunset Heights neighborhood and is retired from a long time job as a janitor at UTEP. This upload marks his first appearance on a digital platform. More of his extensive opus will be mounted soon.
