MIL-HDBK-1165iiABSTRACTWater conservation, maximizing the efficient use of waterresources, is rapidly becoming a critical part of many militaryoperations as more and more demands are placed upon existingwater supplies. In order to remain a good neighbor and preservethe environment in which we live, engineers throughout theDepartment of Defense are frequently called upon to review thebeneficial use of their water resources. This military handbookprovides numerous methods to increase water efficiency anddetails the requirements of Executive Order 12902 as it relatesto water conservation within the Department of Defense. Inaddition, this handbook also includes, in its appendices,procedures for submitting water conservation projects for centralfunding programs.
