CHIPPEWA FALLS, WIS., June 1, 2013

Today Chippewa County Economic Development Corp.,Krista Computers and AT&T collected used electronics for recycling an event in Chippewa Falls.

encouraging our community to recycle electronics
,” said State

This event not only helps the environment, but allows our residents to do some springcleaning in a responsible way
.”
 The drive collected all kinds of electronics, including: computers, laptops, cell phones, and tablets, aswell as computer accessories like mice and keyboards. Recycling is being provided by KristaComputers. The data destruction process for all donated laptops and computers will follow all U.S.Department of Defense standards.Computer/electronics donations benefited the students of all the schools in the Chippewa Falls Schooldistrict and cell phone donations benefited
Cell Phones for Solder’s, a non
-profit organization dedicatedto providing cost-free communication services to active duty military members and veterans.
“Trying to find the right place to dispose of your unwanted computers, monitors, laptops, and other “e

waste” can be difficult,” stated Charlie Walker, CCEDC President/CEO. “This program provides a free,
safe, location to drop off your computers and other electronics. By participating you will also give backto the community and US military; CCEDC would like to thank AT&T Wisconsin and Krista Computers
for partnering on this event.”
