 Welcome to the Stonestown Family YMCA! You are part of a world wide, mission-driven organizationthat was founded over 150 years ago. With all of the crisesand tragedy this world has suffered in the past year, I hopethat you find comfort in belonging to an organization that’shere for the duration, that’s adapted and responded to majorcultural shifts, and whose sole purpose is to build a strongeryou!The staff team at the Stonestown Family YMCA is here toserve you and fulfill your family’s needs. We have experts inyouth development, strength and conditioning, health and wellness, aquatics, camping, sports, teen programming,mental health, nutrition, group work, and so much more. As you glance through this brochure you will see the many programs and services we offer for the healthy developmentof you! We will meet you where you are, right here andright now. Are you ready for an introduction to water safety, or are

ready for Committee work? Wherever you are, we will embrace your personal goals andhelp you reach them.Remember that you have joined a nonprofit privatemembership organization. The staff are charged with beingresponsible fiduciaries of your membership dues and yourdonations and, with the help of policy volunteers, we makedecisions about operating expenses, rates, financialassistance, and community service. This system ensuresthat we make the best possible decisions about our programofferings, equipment, staffing, and facility needs. As a membership organization, we make every effort toprovide you with a positive experience from the momentyou walk in to the moment you walk out. We rely on you toshare your ideas and provide us with feedback. We also rely on you to help us with our work through volunteerism, for which there are many opportunities!Finally, we are a private organization which means that ourprograms and services are available to members only. While we do invite anyone to become a member, we only welcomepeople who will take pride in belonging here. To be amember, we ask that you embrace our core values by treating our facilities and each other with caring, honesty,respect and responsibility.

Caring
•TheYMCAiscommittedtoprovidingasafeand
 welcoming environment for every member and guest. Topromote safety and comfort for all, we ask individuals toact appropriately at all times when they are in the YMCA facilities or participating in YMCA programs.
•SmokingisnotpermittedintheYMCAfacilities.The
 YMCA provides a smoke-free environment.
•YMCAstaffmembersareeagertobeofassistance.
Members and guests should not hesitate to notify a stafmember if any assistance is needed.
Honesty
•Tocarryoutthesepolicies,weaskthatmembersand
guests identify themselves to staff when asked, and beable to produce identification upon request.
Respect
•WeexpectpersonsusingtheYMCAtobehaveina
mature and responsible way, and to respect the rightsand dignity of others. We do not permit language or any action that may hurt or frighten another person,including staff, or that falls below a generally acceptedstandard of conduct.
Responsibility
•Membersandguestsareencouragedtoberesponsiblefor
their personal comfort and safety, and to ask any person whose behavior threatens their comfort to refrain fromsuch behavior. If a member or guest feels uncomfortable,they also may report the offending behavior or conditionto a YMCA staff person.
•TheYMCAreservestherighttodenyaccessor
membership to any person who has been charged with orconvicted of any crime involving sexual abuse or who isrequired by law to register as a sex offender.
•YMCAmanagementwillinvestigateallreported
incidents. Suspension or termination of YMCA membership privileges may result from a violation of the YMCA Member and Guest Code of Conduct, or from aviolation of any other posted or published rules orpolicies at your YMCA branch or program.
