About the Book:
Are you afraid to try new things because you might not be good at them? Are you scared to speak up because you might say something stupid? Do you get really upset when people criticize you? Everyone feels unsure of themselves sometimes. If you feel that way a lot, this book can help.

About The Author:
Thomas S. Greenspon, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist and licensed marriage and family therapist in private practice in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he counsels families, couples, children, adolescents, and adults. He earned a B.A. from Yale and a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Illinois in 1968. Tom lectures and writes on a variety of topics, including the emotional needs of gifted children and adults. He is a member of several professional organizations and has authored dozens of articles about perfectionism, the self-experience of gifted individuals, and couples' and family relations. Tom is married to Barbara C. Greenspon, M.A., his partner in private practice. They are former copresidents of the Minnesota Council for the Gifted and Talented (MCGT) and served on the Minnesota State Advisory Committee for Gifted. Tom is the recipient of the 1998 MCGT Award for Distinguished Service to Gifted Individuals.
