There is an error in the hint for problem 1. v = r ω is true when all are scalars - that is, this is true if nothing is bolded. The vector equation is ω = r x v / (r • r) where there everything is bold - this is a relationship for the directions. It is not all that important or necessary for this assignment. In general, it is useful to remember the right hand rule applies and L and ω point i
