BODY PAINTING

Good morning class, im very happy to be with you to day, have you ever heard about car body painting ? this is a kind of process that as important as another process of the car made. Body painting is not always about colour of your car but its about apperance and prestice of the car owner its self, you know even we can gues whose this car belongs to by seeing the gloosy paint of the car. Well my presentation at this moment will present how is the technic used and what kind of paint used to paint your car. The first point is about what technic had been used to paint the car so far. 1. Manually painted system The air compresor as the tool that flows the forced air, air transformer as a tool that used for controlling the air pressure and as the filter of the paint it self and the last is Spray paint gun function as evavorator to encourage and directing the paint to the car body

2. Electro spying technic It is the painting system using granular media to direct electrostatic paint to the entire surface area of the car body. If we compared with regular spraying systems for time and volume of the same paint, the elektrospraying will get the amount of paint that is more attached to the workpiece

3. Electro Deposition Painting (EDP) In general, this system of painting used for the purposes of primer paint (a layer that is connected directly to the metal surface coated). Painting system has adhesion and resistance to very high production and relatively evenly distributed to every surface of car body.

Next im going to talk about what kind of paint had been used to pain a body car There are two types of car paint and pernish which sell on the market rigth now They are polyurethane and Acrylic Lacquer ... 1. Polyurethane paint is probably the most popular choice for a top coat today. It is verydurable and provides a high gloss finish. It is also chemically resistant. These paints have a high solid content and they cure very slowly which means they continue to flow out for a long period of

time. This flowing out process forms a veryflat surface that gives the surface a high gloss look.

2. A second type of top coat paint is acrylic lacquer. This paint has a low solid content that makes it more difficult to apply. Acrylic lacquer should be thinned using the proper thinner and then a verylight tack coat applied. Eventhoug this kind of paint is very low at cost and quality but its very easy to dry just about 30 to 40 minutes of drying process.
