In this course students will have the opportunity to enhance their written and oral proficiency in
Spanish language through analysis of literary texts (especially contemporary epistolary essays),
newspaper articles, and other audiovisual materials that will serve as a basis for discussion.
Activities and assignments will focus on intensive practice of sentence structure and expository

unexcused absences will likewise lower the final grade. Be sure to notify the instructor ahead of time

while attendance is important, mere attendance is not enough to fulfill the participation
requirement. Lastly, remember that, in the event of an absence, it is the responsibility of the student
