 June 4, 2013 FIRST NOTICEDear Texas LULAC State Executive Board,According to Article VI, Section 5(d), "in case of an emergency situation, theState Director, OR a minimum of 1/3 of the members of the Executive Board, may call aspecial meeting with 72 hour notice of the State Executive Board, advising the membersby the quickest means of communication".We, the current duly elected board members of the Texas LULAC StateExecutive Board, are calling for an emergency board meeting of the State ExecutiveBoard to be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 5:00pm in Austin, Texas, at El GalloRestaurant located at 2910 S. Congress Ave, Austin, Texas 78704, to address thetravesty that occurred at 2013 Texas LULAC State Convention at the Marriott RiverCenter in San Antonio, Texas on June 2, 2013.At the 2013 Texas State LULAC Convention, as also stated in Article VI, Section4, a state assembly was to be called to conduct state elections, transact business, passresolutions, and address any other LULAC business as designated. The delegationwas certified and seated. During the conduction of business, members of the electedState Executive Board abandoned their posts while a sufficient number of boardmembers were available to legally conduct business for Texas LULAC. By doing so,they failed to fulfill their responsibilities as officers of the Texas LULAC State ExecutiveBoard.
