Community Voice Mail (CVM) provides free,24 hour access to voice mail for people intransition and crisis directly linking them to jobs, housing, and hope. It is a free servicefor people who have a case manager.The CVM Summit program is part of thenational network of CVM sites, empoweringpeople living in poverty, transition andhomelessness rebuild their lives byconnecting them to jobs, housing,information and hope. We do this bycustomizing and distributing communicationstechnology via a network of community-based services.Users receive a personal phone number (witha 330 area code) and create their ownpersonal greeting. The have the ability toretrieve/receive messages 24 hours a dayfrom any phone. Only the user will be able tohear messages. The system sounds like aregular phone with voice mail capacity.Info Line Inc. trains case managers on howto instruct consumers to use CVM.
