Progetto Zattera Blu pursues these specific objectives: Promote educational programmes for young people and adults to contribute to their development, empowerment and active participation at political, social, economic and cultural level; Support the integration of all individuals of the community, immigrants in particular, working together with the Public Services; Encouraging intercultural dialogue and fight with all the form of discrimination, racism and xenophobia; Develop tutoring and mentorship programmes for youngsters with fewer opportunities to promote their social inclusion; Promote local voluntarism as a non formal education method to develop adolescents, young adults to create a culture of solidarity and tolerance; Promote study and research on the theme of interculturality, human right, active citizenship; Contribute with specific actions within development cooperation of NGOs, for the development of the Third Countries.

The mission and objectives inspire our methodology of action in all of the fields of activities, that are carried

out through the support, promotion, creation and coordination of network activities among different organisations, institutions and individuals involved and it also informs of all the latter on European policies. We are mainly specialized in training and project design field. As far as the training field is concerned we prefer interactive workshops to the simple transmission of knowledge by means of academic lectures so as to enable people to actually learn by doing. For this reason our training methodology involves: interactive laboratories, problem solving strategies, cooperative learning approaches, feedbacks and follow ups to practice. Our workshops aim to promote the development of local communities and organisations by focusing on active participation and European citizenship. In the field of project design our role is to help and support the organisations of the consortium to prepare and manage projects (at different levels) by offering our experience and expertise to give value to their knowledge, their networking and network system, their actual human and social resources. Our aim, as far as empowerment is concerned, does not only refer to actors dealing with projects, but also to the recipients of the developed projects themselves. In fact, we intend to support project ideas that work on the development and the appreciation of all the social actors involved in the project activities. In summary, our methodology and approach are based on three key words: Empowerment: Strengthening of skills and competences of citizens, above all young people, supporting their participation to public life, their active citizenship ; Strengthening of the local and national network of relationships between citizens, institutions and civil society organisations;

Development: Training on competences necessary to work on projects at different levels (local, national, European, international); Creation of new networks for the implementation of initiatives allowing the sharing and the reciprocal growth of the organizations involved ;
