Now more than ever, there is a need for young people capable oftackling complex problems and systems, invested in building strongercommunities, and inspired by the power of ideas in action. The RooseveltInstitute | Summer Academy aims to bring those committed to progressivechange together to enable them with the tools, experiences, and community tobe powerful actors in the political process.
Over the course of nine weeks, Summer Academy Fellows are placedfull-time with a partner organization, including city governments, community-based organizations, advocacy organizations, and think tanks. Concurrently,Fellows participate in a rigorous curriculum composed of workshops, team-based challenges, field visits, and a speaker series that develop key skillsnecessary to effectively engage with policy change.
We strongly believe that big ideas and fantastic people go together tocreate transformational change. Therefore, we take into account the values,diversity, and unique value add of each fellow in the Summer Academyprogram.
