I came across your paper yester-day... I dont read newspapers... ever, but I was blown away with yours. Ilove all the subjects and the reachingout for the starving artist and promo-tions you guys do. My life’s goal isto be a photographer and when I sawthat ya’ll are looking for that, I was en-thralled!-Katherine
Thanks Katherine! We look for-ward to seeing what type of photog-raphy you can do! Email us your pic-tures and if it cuts the mustard we will put it out there for Galvestonians tosee! Be sure to include captions, if necessary.
I am a volunteer with Whisker-ville Animal Sanctuary in Texas City.I know we advertise in a few localsources. Since your publication isnew, I thought I’d tell our director aboutit, but I wanted to have more info for her first. Do you have a discount ad-vertising rate for non-profits? Also, were you the one who ranthrough the Island Community Center yesterday passing them out?-Lisa
Thank you so much for your in-terest in the Galveston Wizard! As tonon-profits, I should say so! We lovenon-profits! Check our Web site for advertising rates and info. We look forward to promoting your business.
I just picked up your paper and Ihave to tell you I see great potentialgood for you. Would be great if it wasweekly you should go after MarshaMellow she writes for the Twisted Par-rot she is freaking hilarious.Keep up the work and keep meposted if you get Marsha Mellow.-Maxx
Maxx, first of all, Marsha Mellow sounds delicious, we will see what her writing schedule looks like for you.We appreciate your input and we think it would be great if it were aweekly too! Our biggest problem right now is the countless visits to local businesses that are still riding the fen-cepost on advertising with us. Oncewe get more advertisers, we will beable to do much more with the publi-cation! Thank you for your time!
I got suckered into meeting mysister for coffee this morning at a lo-cal coffee shop and ran across your publication. This in itself was quitelucky for me. Short explanation--mysister is about as exciting as watchingthe grass grow. I was thrilled to havesomething “new” to read. Honestly, Ibegan to flip thru the pages to avoidconversation (after all, it was far tooearly for grass watching). Then I dis-covered I was actually enjoying read-ing the articles. There are educated opinions, lo-cal information, and best of all--hu-mor. An absolute delight--and that’s ahigh compliment from me---I don’t do“delightful” that early in the morning. Thanks again for the morning“save”.-Becca
Becca,Thanks for the input! We can tell you are a wise beyond your years. We are glad you were able to en- joy your copy of the Galveston Wiz-ard, and we look forward to hearing from you again real soon!
Hey, good to see a new paper for we islanders. Always room for a newproduct.Don’t have anything for you rightnow, except for one thought: “Youdon’t have to be a member of the KKKto be a wizard under the sheets.”Traveler
Uh, thanks! Good to be here. Re-member, our Wizard is more Gandalf,Merlin, or even Harry Potter, and less1989 family movie featuring Luke Ed-wards and Fred Savage or the “clan”...oh, I’m sorry...”klan” But thanks for the joke anyway! Send us your thoughts, sugges-tions, ideas or comments! thewiz@galvestonwizard.com
