Thank you, Steve, for utilizing some of your weekend time to review and comment on ball field related issues. I am unaware of a local resource that could have done this level of expert construction document analysis. The connection between the mayor and the world of golf has been a great bridge that has connected you to the CMP. "Keep the faith"... the earnest diligence and corrective action and will deliver some deserved wins for Pensacola. b Brian Spencer / iPad On Jun 12, 2011, at 9:45 PM, "Steve Dana" <SDana@jerrypate.com> wrote:
MarkI have reviewed the set of documents you furnished me this weekend. The documents looked fineI have only a few comments. Field ProfileIs a filter fabric necessary? Please have Dan provide his response. DrainageWe discussed the desire to have a port to connect a portable Sub-Air unit in the futureI did not see that port on the drainage plan. Please provide that or explain why it was omitted. GradingDoes the new grading plan match the grades supplied in GMP3 and other stadium documents? IrrigationA note should be provided to locate the satellite and central computer in the maintenance shop at right field foul pole area. I did not find any mention of grounding of the two-wire system. This is crucial in our area and should be called out on the plans and/or specifications. Section 4.4 has a note regarding cover over pipe that appears to be conflicting with itself. Please clarify. Class 200 pipe vs. schedule 40 pipe? Class 200 should be sufficient. Please have Dan comment. MaintenanceI would expect that the ball team would not want the contractor still involved during the two months prior to opening day. Bruce and Chuck please comment here, but typically the groundskeepers want full control at this point. I would suggest not having the contractor responsible for this item, but provide your recommendations here for the owners use only. As we all know, these plans need to go to bid ASAP so that this pricing can be received prior to the end of this month. This is imperative. Please contact me if you have any questions. Thank you.
