A Look at KeywordSpy Tracking 2.0 by Liza Anne MartinezAt first sight, the Tracking module 2.0 seems to have an overwhelming amount ofdata that might set off confusion. Fear not, it is actually very user friendly andKeywordSpy did a good job in organizing its interface to the full use of everyone.First off, what's different? The first version of KeywordSpy Tracking allowed youto store a domain and associated keywords for the system to track PPC adappearance and SEO ranking on a daily basis. This means that the system trackskeywords you have stored and keywords of the domain you have selected to selectedsearch engines and countries. It reports PPC ad position, coverage, ad variations and the dates where they wereindexed in the database. For organic keywords, the system reports on the positionof the domain based on the keywords and the date they were seen. Additionalfeatures are the other websites and advertisers using or bidding on the keywordsyou have stored. That's pretty much it.Tracking 2.0 is different in a way that it tracks down keyword activity only inPPC and SEO fields. You can still name the campaign based on a domain URL but donot expect the system to track down information URL-based. The significance ofthis system is it narrow downs the system reports and focuses the reports on yourmonitored keywords. The module will provide information based on the ad copy appearance and visibilityas well as organic rankings of domains and ads attributed to the keywords you haveselected for monitoring.KeywordSpy Tracking 2.0 ReportsThe reports follow a smooth interface of data which includes: (1) Overview - thetop competitors for the keywords in a campaign on the selected search engineswhere they are being monitored; (2) Keywords- the list containing the keywords ofthe campaign and brief information on the domains using each one; (3) Competitors- the list of competitors using the keywords and a detailed look on the keywordstanding of each domain; (4) Suggested Keywords - relative keywords correspondingto your competitors but not being monitored in the campaign; (5) Comparison -comparison page that allows for side-by-side reporting on 2 domains oradvertisers' keywords; (6) Watchlist - shortcuts to reports on priority keywordsand domains within a campaign; and (7) Alerts - configuration of email alerts onnew competition and keywords. The organic keyword reports now includes the daily rankings of the websitesoptimizing on the keywords you have used for a campaign. This also shows rankingreports as well as a Growth Meter which can be filtered on a daily, weekly, andmonthly views. The New MetricsBefore they were the Ad Position, Coverage percentage, and Dates with therespective analytics reflecting also the Organic reports. Tracking 2.0 providesadditional metrics including: Average Cost per Click and Clicks per Day of givenkeywords; Ad Counts on the advertisers; Ad History Times Seen ratio for advariations; Organic Click value for keywords; and growth meter on organic websiterankings. The Tracking reports also include preview options of the ads and search engine
