Fungsi Otot
Otot skelet berfungsi dalam melakukan seluruh pergerakan Otot jantung berfungsi dalam mengalirkan darah ke seluruh tubuh Otot polos membantu menjaga tekanan darah & memompa atau mendorong substansi (contoh: makanan, feses) melalui organ2 Otot juga berfungsi menjaga sikap badan, menstabilkan sendi, & menghasilkan panas tubuh
Jenis Otot
Otot skelet
Otot polos
Otot jantung
Otot Skelet
= otot lurik (striated muscle) tampilan bergaris2 = otot volunter (voluntary muscle) bekerja di bawah kesadaran
Tiap serabut otot dibungkus oleh lapisan jaringan ikat halus, endomisium Berkas serabut otot yg dilapisi endomisium dibungkus oleh jaringan ikat yg lebih kasar, perimisium berkas serabut ini disebut fasikulus Fasikulus2 disatukan oleh jaringan ikat padat yg lebih kuat, epimisium / fascia profunda, yg melapisi seluruh otot Perlekatan otot pada tulang : Langsung : epimisium melekat pada periosteum Tidak langsung : epimisium berlanjut menjadi tendon atau aponeurosis
Jenis pergerakan otot skelet didasarkan atas bagaimana otot tersebut melekat pada setiap sisi sendi : Origo : ujung otot skelet yg dapat bergerak Insersi : ujung otot skelet yg tidak dapat bergerak Saat otot berkontraksi, insersi selalu bergerak menuju origo
Persarafan & suplai darah : Setiap otot dilayani oleh 1 saraf, 1 arteri, & 1 atau lebih vena Setiap serabut otot skelet dilayani oleh sebuah akhiran saraf yang mengendalikan kontraksi Serabut2 yg berkontraksi memerlukan suplai oksigen & nutrisi yg kontinyu melalui arteri Hasil metabolisme dikeluarkan melalui vena2
Sel otot skelet (= serabut otot) : 10-100 m panjang s.d 6 cm multinuklear Nukleus : berbentuk oval terletak di perifer, di bawah membran plasma (= sakrolema) Sitoplasma (= sarkoplasma) hampir seluruhnya terisi oleh organel panjang berbentuk pita, myofibril Terlihat bergaris2 karena adanya gambaran Pita I (terang) & Pita A (gelap)
Miofibril tda struktur2 seperti benang yg lebih kecil, miofilamen Miofilamen tda 2 jenis protein, aktin (tipis) & miosin (tebal) Saat berkontraksi, aktin & miosin saling mendekat serabut2 otot memendek Miofilamen tersusun atas unit2 kontraktil terkecil, sarkomer Sarkomer dibatasi oleh pita Z
Masing2 molekul miosin memiliki sebuah ekor berbentuk seperti batang & 2 kepala yg membulat
Direction of the muscle fibre (eq : rectus, oblique) Relative size of the muscle (eq : maximus, minimus, longus) Location of the muscle Number of origin (eq : biceps, triceps, quadriceps) Location of the muscles origin & insertion Shape of the muscle (eq : deltoid) Action of the muscle (eq : flexor, extensor, adductor)
Facial muscles (1) : Frontalis Covers the frontal bone From the cranial apeneurosis to the skin of te eyebrows Raise the eyebrows, wrinkle the forehead Orbicularis oculi Run in circles around the eyes Close the eyes, squint, blink, wink Orbicularis oris Circular muscle of the lips Closes the mouth, protrudes the lips
Facial muscles (2) : Buccinator Fleshy muscle that runs horizontally across the cheek & inserts into the orbicularis oris Flattens the cheek Compresses the cheek to hod the food between the teeth during chewing also listed as a chewing muscle Zygomaticus Extends from the corner of the mouth to the cheekbone Raises the corners of the mouth upward
Chewing muscles : Buccinator Masseter Covers the angle of the lower jaw Runs from zygomatic process of the temporal bone to the mandible Closes the jaw by elevating the mandible Temporalis Fan-shaped muscle overlaying the temporal bone Inserts into the mandible As a synergist of the masseter closing the jaw
Anterior Muscles Sternocleidomastoid Pectoralis major Intercostal muscles Muscles of the abdominal gridle Rectus abdominis External oblique Internal oblique Transversus abdominis
Muscles causes the arm movement Pectoralis major Latissimus dorsi Deltoid Muscles causes the elbow joint movement Biceps brachii Triceps brachii Muscles causes the forearm movement
Muscles causes the hip joint movement Iliopsoas Adductor muscles Gluteus maximus Gluteus medius
Muscles causes the knee joint movement Sartorius Quadriceps group Rectus femoris Vastus lateralis Vastus intermedius Vastus medialis Hamstring group Bicep femoris Semimembranosus Semitendinosus
Muscles causes the ankle & foot movement Tibialis anterior Peroneus muscles Gastrocnemius
