This week your donations helped a WOLC single mom with a utility bill. Each month, at the Open Door Food Kitchen, WOLC provides 600 meals to those in our community who would otherwise go hungry. If you are interested in serving at the Open Door Food Kitchen, contact Megan Taylor at the church office for dates and details. WOLC volunteers actively support Second Harvest in a variety of ways. New opportunities are available this summer, including a community garden and a summer lunch program for kids. Contact Megan Taylor at the church office for more information.

IMAGINE Eleven

THIS Sunday, June 16 thru August 11 6:30-8:30 PM Felix Square

IMAGINE Eleven is a Sunday night summer concert series, organized by more than 20 St. Joseph area churches. The series features eleven evenings of great music, tasty food, and summertime family fun. The music genres vary each week, all the way from blues to Broadway. Food and beverage sales benefit a local charity. This Sunday, VOTA, from Lincoln, NE, will bring their unique brand of alternative rock to St. Joe. Featuring Brian Olesen, former member of the Newsboys. MYC Discount Cards

We believe every student deserves the opportunity to go to summer camp, but not every student can afford it. To offset costs, MYC and 678 are fundraising this summer. For only $20, you can purchase a discount card that includes discounts at Pizza Hut, Sonic, Coldstone and more! Also, you can participate in our Adopt-a-Camper program. Visit the MYC fundraiser table in the foyer for more information and to purchase discount cards. Circle of Friends is our group for those over 50! On THIS Thursday, June 20, we will be taking a tour of the Shatto Dairy and stopping for lunch at Plain Jane's off 36 HWY. The shuttle will meet at the church at 9:30 AM and we ask that you pre-pay $5 by June 18 to reserve your spot. Lunch expenses will be on your own. Call the church office for more information.

Circle of Friends

Every Christ-follower should be baptized. Baptism is the public declaration of each believers identification with Jesus and with his church. If youve not been baptized yet, Sunday, July 14 will be a great opportunity to go for it! We will be baptizing in both services. Its easy to register for baptism - visit the foyer table, fill out a Connect Card and drop it in the offering, sign up online at WOLC.COM, or call the church office.

Children's Classrooms Floor Covering

Thanks for your great response in giving to the Children's Ministry floor covering project! We have raised $9,764 of the $15,000 goal. If you want to help with this special offering, please designate it on the offering envelope. Word of Life is now serving ONLY gluten free communion bread, in all the communion services. For those with gluten dietary restrictions, we now have the right bread for you.

On June 9 through 13, Word of Life Church hosted our annual vacation bible school. This years theme was GOD IN ACTION. VBS kicked off on Sunday evening with Family Night, and parents stayed for the entire evening! Our kids enjoyed a week of action-packed games, fun, and an incredible experience. Thanks to the efforts of tons of volunteers, a great time was had by all! This years VBS experience was about how God invites each of us into his story, and how kids can be part of THE BIG GOD STORY. Even though GOD IN ACTION is over, the kids are all ready looking forward to next years VBS.
