qualifying for Saturday’s
GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series Diamond Cellar Classic.Jordan Taylor captured his second consecutive TOTAL Pole Award in the Daytona Prototypeclass with a lap of 105.642 mph/1 minute, 16.947 seconds in the Wayne Taylor Racing No. 10Velocity Worldwide/Toshiba Corvette DP. “Ricky was probably the last person I’d want to bump off,” Jordan said. “We’re not the kind of brothers that want to beat each other. But I know if I was in his position, I’d be furious.”
The Taylors will lead the field to the green flag Saturday for Round 6 of the Rolex Series seasonat 4:30 p.m. (SPEED, live).
“That was a proud moment,” Wayne Taylor said. “One lap, Ricky was on the pole, and then thenext lap, Jordan was on the pole. I’m obviously happy to have both of my kids on the front row –
this is the first time that’s happened.”
