The Chris tian Musician Summi t (a.k.a. CMS ) is a t wo da y con ference for musicians, worship leaders, technicians, song wri ters, pas tors and indie ar tis ts. This is our second year a t the Chapel a t Crosspoin t in Bu f falo, N Y. Our hope and pra yer is tha t this e ven t con tinues to gro w and pro vide ongoing suppor t for Chris tian musicians in the Nor theas t. The mission o f CMS Produc tions is to pro vide people in vol ved wi th Chris tian music prac tical training and resources in order to impro ve their skill and inspire their talen t all to God’s glor y. We belie ve tha t God has gi ven us the gi f t o f music to glori f y Him, as well as to encourage one ano ther, so le t us no t take this gi f t for gran ted. The scope o f our vision is to pro vide training for e ver yone from the worship leader on s tage in fron t o f the congrega tion, to the sound and media technicians in the back o f the room, and o f course all o f the musicians (gui taris ts, ke y boardis ts, bassis t, drummers, singers e tc. ) in be t ween. No t onl y do we focus on musicians who pla y on worship teams in their churches bu t also the solo ac ts, singer /song wri ters and Chris tian bands tha t pla y a varie t y o f musical s t yles as well. We’ ve been producing this e ven t for si x years on the wes t coas t, and i t’s been amazing to see the ripple e f fec t tha t the CMS has had in li ves o f those who a t tend. We recei ve no tes and emails from folks who share ho w the y ha ve re turned home wi th a rene wed sense o f purpose; ho w their worship teams and bands ha ve bonded in a wa y tha t uni tes them to be more e f fec ti ve in their minis tr y; and ho w en tire congrega tions ha ve been re vi ved a f ter their worship teams and leaders re turn wi th a re vi talized sense o f mission.
