Where Christians be-lieve in the fundamental teach-ings of God's Word there should be a desire for working together.The World Evangelical Fellow-ship exists to foster much need-ed unity and fellowship amongChristians.Following the InternationalCongress On World Evangeliza-tion, the General Assembly of W.E.F. took place in Switzer-land. Among the key personnel present were Dr. Billy Graham,Dr. Donald Hoke, Rev. Jack Dainand Rev. John Slott.Under the chairmanship of Dr. Ben Wati of India, the out-going president of W.E.F., theAssembly took the followingresolutions:1. The W.E.F. TheologicalAssociation was reorganized withthe goal of promoting the evan-gelical theological positionthroughout the World. Rev.Bruce Nicholls, a missionary from New Zealand to India, was ap- pointed as the Executive Sec-retary, and Mr. John Langlois,a British lawyer, was made theAdministrator. Some key evan-gelical theologians from NorthAmerica, South America, Asia,Africa, Europe and Australasiawere appointed to the Theolog-ical Association, with Byang Ka-to of Africa as the convener of their meeting.WORKING TOGETHER 2. World Evangelical Com-munications Association. A steer-ing committee was set up withDr. Ben Armstrong of the UnitedStates of America as the con-vener. The initial emphasis of the Association will be in thearea of broadcastings.3. An International MissionCommission of the W.E.F. wasrecommended to be organized.Plans are still under way for establishing this Commission.It was stated that the Con– tinuation Committee of ICOWEwill take note of the existenceof W.E.F. As a matter of fact,membership in the two bodieswill overlap, so there will be aspirit of working together be-tween them.A.E.A.M. is not yet a member of W.E.F., but it is a clearinghouse for W.E.F. in Africa. Thefollowing A.E.A.M. members andaffiliates are also members of W.E.F:The Evangelical Fellowship of RhodesiaThe Evangelical Fellowship of SenegalThe Sierra Leone EvangelicalFellowshipThe South Africa EvangelicalCouncil
