Considering:

a. that

52/Permentan/OT.140/9/2011, has stipulated Recommendation on Approval for the Importation and Exportation of Livestock Into and From the Territory of The Republic of Indonesia; b. that for optimalization of the recommendation issuance service an amendment to Regulation of The Minister of Agriculture NO. 52/Permentan/OT.140/9/2011 regarding Recommendation on

Approval for the Importation and Exportation of Livestock Into and From the Territory of The Republic of Indonesia is required;

In view of:

REGULATION AMENDMENT TO THE REGULATION OF THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE No. 52/Permentan/OT.140/9/2011

REGARDING RECOMMENDATION ON APPROVAL FOR THE IMPORTATION AND EXPORTATION OF LIVESTOCK INTO AND FROM THE TERRITORY OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA

Article 1 1. Amendments to several provisions of Regulation of The Minister of Agriculture No 52/Permentan/OT.140/9/2011 regarding Recommendation on Approval for the Importation and Exportation of Livestock Into and From the Territory of The Republic of Indonesia, are as follows: a. Thereby Article 10 in its entirerity shall be as follows: Article 10 (1) Issuance of RPP as intended in Article 9 paragraph (2) the implementation is carried out by the Director General of Livestock and Animal Health Services on behalf of the Minister of Agriculture. (2) RPP as intended in paragraph (2) at least contains:

Number of RPP; The name, address, and the installation of animal quarantine; Number and date of the application; Country of origin, amount and classification of calves; Port of entry; Slaughterhouse location (RPH), and Issuance date validity period of RPP.

(3) The Director General of Livestock and Animal Health Services in issuing RPP as intended in paragraph (2) after the fulfillment of administrative requirements as intended in Article 5 and the technical requirements as intended in Article 6. (4) The issuance of RPP is intended in paragraph (1) has a validity of 1 (one) year. (5) The importation plan as determined in RPP as intended in paragraph (4) is conducted in accordance with the following periods: a. b. c. d. Quarter I January March; Quarter II April June; Quarter III July Septermber; and Quarter IV October December.

(6) The determination of importation plans for the ensuing year is conducted at the end of every October.

b. Amending Article 13 whereby in its entirerity are as follows: Article 13 (1) To request RPP for calves, the importer shall file an official written application to the Director General of Livestock and Animal Health Services through the Director of PPVTPP in accordance with the format of model-1. (2) The application as intended in paragraph (1) must be completed with the administrative requirements as intended in Article 5.

(3) The application as intended in paragraph (2) can be filed online and/or directly. (4) The application as intended in paragraph (1) is filed in the previous October.

c. Appending a new Article by inserting Article 40A with the following stipulation: Article 40A (1) To fulfill the availability and stabilization of beef prices the realization of importation of calves can be expedited. (2) The expedition of importation of calves realization as intended in paragraph (1) is determined by the Minister of Agriculture on the basis of decision of a ministerial level Coordination Meeting headed by the Economic Coordinating Minister.

52/Permentan/OT.140/9/2011 regarding Recommendation on Approval for the Importation and Exportation of Livestock Into and From the Territory of The Republic of Indonesia, remain valid.

Article 2 This regulation shall become effective on as of the day of enactment. For public cognizance, it is instructed to promulgate this Ministerial Regulation by publishing the same in the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia.
