MITCHELL NAMED NEW DIRECTOR OFBEHAVIORAL HEALTH
Dr. Daniel R. Mitchell has been appointed North Country Children’s Clinic’sDirector of Behavioral Health. Dr. Mitchell succeeds Dr. Jeanne Emery who establishedthe agency’s mental health program in 1993 and served as the program director untilshe stepped down for health reasons in early 2013.Dr. Mitchell supervises a behavioral health staff that includes psychologists andlicensed social workers. Dr. William Kimball joined the Children’s Clinic in February andworks full-time with patients at the agency’s Adult Medical Program at 238 ArsenalStreet. Social workers Kristin Tooley - LCSW-R, Carrie Rennie - LCSW, and EricaFostveit - LCSW also provide behavioral health counseling at 238 Arsenal Street and atschool-based health centers in the Watertown and South Jefferson Central Schools.Erin Cooney, LCSW-R sees patients at North Country Children’s Clinic’s school-based health center at North Elementary School and also serves as Associate Director of Behavioral Health, a position to which she was promoted in 2012.The Children’s Clinic’s behavioral health services are integrated with medicalcare. Counseling is provided only to individuals who are patients of the adult or pediatric
