Los parámetros de Port configurables incluyen:

Habilitar y Deshabilitar Puertos

A. Todos los puertos están habilitados por defecto. Aunque un


puerto esté deshabilitado, la señal de link permanece
habilitada para diagnóstico.
B. El comando para deshabilitar un puerto es
disable port <portlist>
C. El comando para habilitar un puerto es
enable port <portlist>
D. Portlist se refiere a una lista de puertos formada por rangos o
puertos individuales, separados por comas.
E. Un rango es un grupo de puertas consecutivas, indicado por el
número de la primera y última puertas del rango, separadas
por un guión.
F. En los equipos modulares (BlackDiamond y Alpine) el número
de puerto se expresa como <módulo>:<puerto>
L2 Switching
Autonegociación, Velocidad y Duplex

A. El switch está configurado para usar auto-negociación para


determinar la velocidad y duplex de cada puerto.
B. Los puertos Fast Ethernet pueden ser manualmente
configurados para 10 Mbps o 100 Mbps.
C. Los puertos Fast Ethernet pueden ser configurados para
operación half- o full-duplex.
D. Los puertos Gigabit Ethernet de cobre pueden ser
manualmente configurados para 100 Mbps o 1 Gbps.
E. Los puertos Gigabit Ethernet de fibra están configurados para
1Gbps y full duplex, y no pueden ser cambiados.
F. El comando para configurar estos parámetros es

A. Los switches Antiguos Summit24 y Summit48 soportaban


conexiones físicas redundantes mediante bocas físicas
especiales
B. Estas daban redundancia de enlaces sin balanceo de carga
C. Solo una de las conexiones físicas está activa a la vez
D. La conmutación depende de la señal de Link
E. SmartRedundancy es una característica que permite que el
puerto físico primario siempre tenga prioridad
enable smartredundancy <port>
F. A partir de ExtremeWare 6.2 esa funcionalidad está disponible
por software para cualquier puerta del switch mediante el
comando

G. Limitaciones
– Las puertas deben ser del mismo tipo

– Load-sharing está disponible sobre puertos 10/100 y gigabit
– Puede combinar entre 4 y 8 puertos (restricciones en los S200 y S300-

B. Implementación Estándar
– Compatible con la tarjeta Sun Quad Fast Ethernet
– Soporta Cisco EtherChannel
C. Para configurar un grupo load sharing se usa el comando
enable sharing <master port> grouping <port>-
<port> algorithm [address-based | port-based |
round-robin]
D. Para deshabilitar el grupo usar el comando
disable sharing <master port>
E. Se pueden combinar las funcionalidades de redundancia de
enlaces y de Load Sharing

Tagging

A. Un paquete Ethernet puede incluir, o no, 4 bytes, con


información de la VLAN a la que pertenece.
B. Si el paquete incluye esa información, se lo llama taggeado con
802.1Q. Si no la incluye, se lo llama paquete no taggeado.
C. El valor 8100 define a un paquete con tag 802.1Q
D. El valor VLAN ID (0-4095) identifica a la VLAN a la que
pertenece el paquete.

Port Tagging

A. Las puertas que pertenecen a una determinada VLAN pueden


definirse como taggeadas o no taggeadas.
B. Una puerta no taggeada sólo aceptará recibir paquetes no
taggeados, descartando cualquier tráfico taggeado, y
transmitirá paquetes no taggeados.
C. Similarmente, una puerta taggeada sólo aceptará recibir
paquetes taggeados con el ID correspondiente a su VLAN,
descartando cualquier tráfico no taggeado o con tags
incorrectos, y transmitirá paquetes taggeados con el ID
correcto.
D. Si un paquete ingresa por una puerta no taggeada y egresa
por una puerta taggeada, antes de ser transmitido se le
agregará el tag correspondiente.
E. Inversamente, si un paquete ingresa por una puerta taggeada
y egresa por una puerta no taggeada, antes de ser transmitido
se le removerá el tag.

A. Una VLAN 802.1Q está formada por un grupo de puertas que


pueden, o no, ser taggeadas.
B. Generalmente, la conexión a servidores y estaciones de
trabajo se realizará con puertas no taggeadas.
C. La interconexión de switches se hará mediante puertas
taggeadas, ya que el taggeado 802.1Q permite que un solo
enlace transporte el tráfico de múltiples VLANs

Por Protocolo

A. Las VLANs basadas en protocolo permiten filtrar por protocolo


para enviar un determinado flujo de datos a una VLAN en
particular.
B. Una puerta puede pertenecer a múltiples VLANs ya que el
campo de protocolo del paquete actúa como tag implícito.
C. Las puertas que la forman pueden ser taggeadas o no
taggeadas. Sin embargo, si un paquete tiene un tag explícito
802.1Q, este tiene prioridad por sobre el tag implícito indicado
por el protocolo del paquete.

Características

A. Cada VLAN forma un dominio de broadcast independiente


B. STP bloquea enlaces para crear un entorno sin loops
C. La configuración por defecto de STP es:
– Un sólo dominio STP: s0
– La VLAN default pertenece a s0
– Todas las puertas tienen STP habilitado
– s0 está deshabilitado a nivel de switch
D. Todas las VLANs pertenecen a un dominio STP.
– Al crearse una nueva VLAN, es asignada automáticamente a s0.
– Si quiero que una VLAN no tenga STP activo, debo asignarla a un
dominio STP que no esté activo.
– Si todos los dominios STP están activos, debo crear uno nuevo, inactivo.
E. Todas las puertas de un switch tienen STP habilitado.
– Todas las puertas participan de STP, enviando y recibiendo BPDUs.
– Si quiero que ciertas puertas no participen de STP, debo deshabilitar
STP en esas puertas.

802.1D

A. 802.1D es el estándar que rige al protocolo Spanning Tree.


B. El estándar se basa en el intercambio de mensajes, llamados
BPDUs (Bridge Protocol Data Units) entre los switches
(bridges) intervinientes en Spanning Tree.
C. El estándar no contempla que los BPDUs puedan viajar en
paquetes taggeados con VID 802.1Q.
D. Esto significa que para habilitar la forma estándar de Spanning
Tree, tiene que haber, en todos los enlaces entre switches, una
VLAN no taggeada para la transmisión de los BPDUs.

Configuración

A. Para crear o eliminar un dominio STP se usa el comando


create stp <stpd_name>
delete stp <stpd_name>
B. Para agregar una VLAN a un dominio STP se usa el comando
config stp <stpd_name> add vlan <vlan_name>
C. Para habilitar o deshabilitar un dominio STP se usa el comando
enable stp {<stpd_name>}
disable stp {<stpd_name>}
D. Para habilitar o deshabilitar STP en uno o más puertos se usa el
comando
enable stpd port <portlist>
disable stpd port <portlist>

A. Para incrementar las posibilidades de que un switch se


transforme en Root Bridge se puede cambiar su prioridad
dentro de un dominio STP mediante el comando
config stpd <stpd_name> priority <value>
– La prioridad puede variar entre 0 y 65.535.
– La prioridad por defecto es 32768.
– La prioridad más alta es 0 (cero).
B. Para incrementar las posibilidades de que una puerta se
transforme en Root Port se puede cambiar su costo dentro de
un dominio STP mediante el comando
config stpd <stpd_name> port cost <value>
<portlist>
– El costo de una puerta de 10 Mbps es de 100.
– El costo de una puerta de 100 Mbps es de 100.
– El costo de una puerta de 1 Gbps es de 4.
Ignore-STP

Ignore-STP

A. Cuando un enlace está bloqueado, no pasa NINGUN dato (excepto


BPDUs) de ninguna de las VLANs que usan ese enlace.
B. En algunos casos, un enlace es compartido por VLANs que
requieren STP para prevenir loops y otras que no lo requieren.
C. Si se quiere evitar perder conectividad en la VLAN que no requiere
STP, se usa el comando
enable ignore-stp vlan <vlan_name>
D. De esta forma STP no bloqueará el tráfico de esa VLAN.

A. Desconfigure dos switches.


B. En cada uno de los switches:
– Cree 2 VLANs (V1 y V2) y asígneles tags.
– Asígne una puerta GbE taggeada a las VLANs V1 y V2.
– Asigne otra puerta GbE taggeada a la VLAN V1.
– Recuerde asignar ambas puertas GbE no taggeadas a la VLAN
Default.
C. Conecte ambos switches a través de las puertas GbE.
– ¿Se formó un loop? ¿Cómo lo sabe?
D. Habilite Spanning Tree.
E. Identifique el Root Bridge
– ¿Cómo lo determina?

F. Identifique cuál puerta está VLAN V2

A. Cambie la prioridad de los switches de manera de cambiar el


switch que es Root Bridge.
B. Verifique el cambio de Root Bridge. ¿Cómo lo determina?
C. Cambie el costo de las puertas de manera de lograr que la
puerta que lleva la VLAN V2 quede bloqueada.
D. Verifique que la puerta deseada está bloqueada. ¿Cómo lo
determina?
E. Conecte dos PCs a la VLAN V2, una en cada switch, y
verifique que no hay conectividad.
F. Configure la VLAN V2 para ignorar STP.
G. Vuelva a verificar la conectividad
entre las PCs. ¿Qué pasa? VLAN V1
