INTENT:
The intent of this Request for Proposal is to establish a contract to replace theexisting TRANE CHILLER - CCUA150 REMOTE AIR COOLED COMPRESSERCHILLER at Eureka Elementary School.2.0

Scope of Work:

Demo two air cooled condensers and support structure complete.
·
Remove and salvage indoor compressor unit from the mechanical room.Demo existing support structure complete. Demo piping back to firstelbow from compressor at highest elevation (~12 ft above mechanicalroom floor). Salvage all valves and instrumentation. Leave unit outside of existing mechanical room. Charlotte County will re-use the chiller for partsresale.

Provide new Trane air cooled screw chiller or Carrier air cooled screwchiller equivalent 30XA. Install in same location as existing condensers.

Provide louvered hail guards on condenser section.
·
Provide 6” concrete pad that extends a minimum of 6” on each side of thechiller.
·
Route piping from new chiller location into building and to mechanicalroom so that outdoor piping is minimized. Connect to existing piping atpoints of demolition. Reinstall salvaged valves and instrumentation.Chilled water has been drained in the chiller, but not in the remainder of the building. Piping will need to be frozen prior to demolition to avoiddraining the existing two pipe system throughout the building.

Provide 2” fiberglass insulation on all new chilled water piping to matchexisting insulation. Provide aluminum jacket on insulation located outsidethe building.

Provide heat tracing for piping located outside the building.
·
Provide new circulating pump sized to pump chilled water from themechanical room to the chiller.
·
Relocate electrical service to accommodate new air cooled chiller.Upgrade electrical service if necessary.
